At 10,000 BTU, this is the smallest blue flame vent free heater we make. It will provide supplemental heat to rooms up to 300 square feet. You can use it in bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens etc, but per building codes it is too large for use in a bathroom.
This is a manual Blue Flame model in that you turn it on or off and can set it on high or on low - it will heat the room rather than the people in it. Blue flame heaters will balance out the heat in the room so that a person stood a long way from the heater will be just as warm as someone stood fairly close to the heater (exactly the opposite effect of an infrared model).
It has a non-adjustable ODS (Oxygen deleption Sensor) that constantly monitors the oxygen level in the room and automatically shuts down the heater if it detects a problem.
Vent free heaters also add moisture to the room, so if you typically have to use a humdifier to keep your family's skin from drying out in the winter months you are going to love what this heater does for you.
